The son of Gabriel Sundukyan Academic Theater actors Araksya Melikyan and Andranik Zakaryan, Gurgen, is already a soldier. The actress shared on social networks about her son’s military oath ceremony and her experiences on that day.
Gurgen chose the path of his parents’ profession and was admitted to the acting department of the Theater Institute. However, shortly after starting his studies, he received a summons from the army and decided to go to serve.
According to Araksya Melikyan, his son made that decision consciously. He returned to Armenia from Germany to complete his mandatory military service. The actress noted that Gurgen wanted to serve in Kapan, because he had been there before and loved the city very much.
The actress confessed that seeing her son in a military uniform for the first time was extremely moving. She noted that that moment evoked many maternal feelings, but at the same time she was happy for her son’s choice and responsible decision.
Melikyan assured that he believes in his son’s strengths and is confident that Gurgen will be able to overcome the difficulties that arise during his service.
