Even a worldly person burdened with many cares can pray very easily. If going to church is impossible, one can pray anywhere; it is not the words that matter as much as the thoughts, nor the posture of the body as much as the disposition of the heart. For many people, neither the place, nor the time, nor the lack of silence has been a barrier to prayer.
Pray without ceasing, so that you do not fall into temptation.
“O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise” (Psalm 50:17).
I thank You, O my Lord and my God, and I bless and glorify Your holy name, for You have protected Your unworthy and sinful servant this night from all dangers and trials, bringing me in peace to this morning hour. And You have deemed me worthy to see the light of Your mercy.
