Contract serviceman Avetik Mkrtchyan was brutally beaten. He was found in a critical condition on the evening of February 5 near his place of service, the Nubarashen military unit, and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He is still in the intensive care unit.

The brutal beating of 24-year-old Avetik had serious consequences for his health.

Avetik Mkrtchyan is from the city of Hrazdan, he had entered contract service a few months ago.

Those who know him say that he is a calm, balanced guy, and they speak with great regret that the young boy has, in fact, become disabled.

Doctors are now fighting to preserve at least the sight of his second eye.

“The family members initially tried to hide from 72-year-old grandfather Benik what happened to their only grandson, but they were forced to tell him a few days ago.

“After that, Grandpa Benik never let go of his grandson’s photo,” the neighbors said.
