On April 4 of this year, at 09:52 local time (05:52 GMT), the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia recorded an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 with a depth of 7 km, 40 km north of the city of Van, Turkey, at geographical coordinates 38.83⁰ north latitude and 43.54⁰ east longitude.
The intensity of the tremor in the epicenter zone was 7 points.
The earthquake was felt in Yerevan, Shirak and Ararat regions with a magnitude of 2 points.
