On September 4, a tragic incident occurred in the Ararat region.
At around 12:10, Ares E., a 29-year-old resident of the Ararat region, called the Masis police department and reported that Ira Z., a 69-year-old resident of the Ararat region, had died during general anesthesia.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, it turned out that on the same day, at around 11:55, Ira Z., while on the operating table under general anesthesia, died at the “Edem” hospital located at 9 Dzpotrakkaner Street in the city of Masis.

According to Shamshyan, on the same day, the employees of the Masis police department arrested and transferred to the Masis police department the nurses of the aforementioned hospital, residents of Ararat region: 54-year-old Yeranuhi Kh., 71-year-old Shoghik A., an anesthesiologist, resident of Ararat region 67-year-old Karen B., an ambulance doctor, resident of Yerevan 38-year-old Davit G., and the director of the “Edem” medical center, resident of Ararat region 67-year-old Mher E., who were taken to the Masis police department.
Documents were drawn up at the Masis police department on the facts of the incident, which were submitted together with the arrested persons to the Masis investigative department of the Ararat regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
